Webchat

Webchat

Add a live chat widget to your hotel's website so visitors can ask questions, check availability, and get instant answers from your AI concierge — without leaving your site.

Setting up webchat

1. Design your widget

Go to Webchat > Advanced Designer in your dashboard.

Customize:

  • Colors — Match your hotel's brand colors
  • Position — Bottom-right or bottom-left of the page
  • Welcome message — What guests see when they open the chat
  • Avatar — Your hotel logo or a friendly icon

2. Get the embed code

Go to Webchat > Embed in your dashboard.

Copy the code snippet provided and paste it into your website's HTML, just before the closing </body> tag. If you use a website builder (WordPress, Wix, Squarespace), your web developer can add it in minutes.

3. Test it

Visit your website and click the chat icon. Send a test message and verify the AI responds correctly. The conversation will also appear in your Conversations inbox.

How webchat works

  • Visitors type a question in the chat widget
  • The AI responds instantly using your knowledge base
  • If the visitor provides their phone number, vGuest can continue the conversation on WhatsApp
  • All webchat conversations appear in your unified inbox alongside WhatsApp and Instagram messages

Testing without embedding

Use Webchat > Test Chat to test the chat experience without adding it to your website. This opens a chat popup directly in the dashboard.
