Your First Conversation

Your First Conversation

Before going live, it's important to verify everything works end-to-end. Here's how to test and launch.

Step 1: Test with the simulator

  1. Go to Webchat > Agent Simulator in your dashboard
  2. Type a guest question like "What time is checkout?"
  3. Verify the AI responds with the correct information from your knowledge base
  4. Try a few more questions to make sure the answers are accurate

Step 2: Send a real test message

  1. Open WhatsApp on your personal phone
  2. Send a message to your hotel's connected WhatsApp number
  3. You should receive an AI-generated response within seconds
  4. Check the Conversations page in your dashboard — your test conversation should appear there

Step 3: Verify your PMS connection

If you've connected a PMS:

  1. Go to Reservations in your dashboard
  2. Confirm that upcoming reservations have synced
  3. Check that guest phone numbers are present — these are needed for outbound messaging

Step 4: Go live

Once you're satisfied with the test results:

  1. Your AI concierge is already active on your connected WhatsApp number
  2. Set up your first automated workflow — a welcome message is a great starting point
  3. Monitor incoming conversations from the Conversations page
  4. The AI will handle routine questions automatically. You'll see a notification when a conversation needs human attention

What to expect in the first week

  • Most questions get answered automatically — WiFi, checkout times, parking, directions
  • Some questions will need your input — The AI will flag conversations it can't handle confidently
  • You'll spot knowledge gaps — When the AI can't answer something, add it to your knowledge base
  • Response quality improves — As you fill in gaps, the AI gets better every day

Tips for a smooth launch

  • Start with a few test conversations before a busy check-in day
  • Keep the Conversations page open during your first day to monitor responses
  • Add any missing answers to the knowledge base as they come up
  • Let your front desk team know they can take over any conversation at any time
